Why I choose "Children Literature" to study

This semester I take "Children Literature" as an elective course to study besides," English writing ". This course is talking about how to tell a story for children.I am very interested in learning story telling. I decided to choose this course just because of three reasons.

First of all , my experience tells me that story telling is one of very effective methods in teaching children. I have taught children for almost twenty years in primary schools, cram schools and kindergartens. Every time when I told a story for children,it was very easy to catch children' attention. You didn't have to spend a lot of time controlling the classrome discipline. Moveover, children also felt learning is so fun.Teacher and children were both happy in the classroom.

Next, I want to improve the skill of my story telling. Although I have told stories in the classroom for several years, actually I haven't taken any training course about it. I thought it is necessary to get much more information about it .This year I quit my job, I have more free time to do what I want to do . So, I think it is a good chance to study "story telling" course. I want to know if it has good methods to improve story telling skill, including how to make varied sounds
,expression and action for different roles in the stories. Besides, I also want to know how to write the lesson plan for the story telling. I hope the stories I tell will be more attactive.

The third reason is for my son's learning. My son always ask me to tell stories for him. He is four years old. He is getting more and more interested in books reading and story telling. Every night before he goes to sleep,he always asks me to read the books and tell a story for him. If I can make the stories more fun and interesting, my son will like it more much.

Studying "children literature"can benefit not only my teaching ,but also my child' learning. In addition, I have a wish:I want to write children's books. If I have enough preparing in creating skill, writing children's books will be not impossible for me.

How To Be A Primary School Teacher

To be a teacher is not easy, especially to be a primary school teacher. The students in primary schools are all still very young and uncontrolled, therefore, more patience and more stamina to treat the children is necessary. There are some processes you have to go through, if you want to be a primary school teacher.

First, make sure you really want to be a primary school teacher. Ask yourself and check your personality, expenience, and interests. If you think it is a suitable job to you, get the bachelor's degree at least. If you are not graducated from teaching training college,go to take forty education credits.

After that, enter the primary school as an intern teacher to observe from an experienced teacher in a real teaching environment for half year. During this stage, try to see and do all the things which the teachers do for the students every day. After one semester, your professor and the experienced teacher will test you and give you a grade. Pass this test ,then make an effort to pass the qualification examination.

Next, you still have a big challenge to face:"Teachers Selected Test".It is a pretty hard stage. You have to compete with the teachers from all over the country. So make a plan ,use the Internet to search the information. And then choose some schools to try one by one .If you try hard enough and are also lucky enough, you finally will get the teaching job.

The procedure of getting the teaching job is really not easy. However, to be a teacher is not only a job,it is also a big responsibility and undertaking. So, don't forget to improve your teaching methods year by year ,and communicate with the children's parents whenever necessary. All your efforts will make you not only an efficient and respected teacher but also children's best friend.
