A Letter To My Friend

Dear Sunny:
I haven't seen you for a long time. How have you been? I missed you so much.Especially when the autumn is just coming and the weather is getting colder. During this kind of season,it is very easy to remind people of something or somebody. These days I think of you, my best friend. You are my first friend in the university.I have known you for twenty years. It's a long time, isn't it?
Rememer or not?During the schooldays ,we always studied together, went out to play, ate jungle foods and chatted about something interesting, talked about our plans of future, joined school clubs, met new friends together, and later there were already seven "members" in our group. The other classmates were very envious of us. They all wished they could join our group.
After graduation, you decided stay in Taipei, I came back to Tainan. At the beginning we have still connected and met very often, but later we were both very busy in the jobs and dealed with the challenges of daily life. We had less time for each other even on the phone or writing letters.
I know you got some troubles and frustrstion in your jobs and making friends these years, but "The course of life never did run smooth" Anyway, please keep well and happy anytime and anywhere.I just want to tell you :don't forget you still have a good friend in the south of Taiwan.
your friend,
Maggie

Why I Am Here

I have already graduated from university. So degree to me is not the reason of my studying. Coming back school to study is just because I want to learn something, especially English.Learning English is always my biggest goal of my life. Since I was in junior and senior high school I was already very interested in English. Although I hoped I could study in English department when I attented to the university, my Entrance Exam was not good enough to enter one ,so I was very disappointed that my major was not English.
After graduating from university, my first job was in the kindergarten. There were English classes for children. The English teacher was a forigner from America. She speaks very good English.Sometimes I tried to talk to her. I found I have no confidence to communicate with a forigner in English.I was afraid she wouldn't understand what I was talking about.
After one year I decided to changed my job. There were two or three choices. One of those jobs was working in the language center. My father suggested choosing that one. He said because English was getting more and more important,a career in a language center will ofter a great opportunities.Since that job I have always worked in the same kind of place which was related to English.
These years I worked at cram schools and sometimes primary schools. I was very busy in the jobs. And every day after working I still have to take care of my child ,do a lot of housework,do the lesson plan for the teaching,go over the students' homework.I still have no much free time to study. This summer vacation I make up my mind to quit my job. I want to do what I always want to do. I think we shouldn't just make a lot of plans then wait till retirement to accomplish it.We can have another way to make our dreams come true: write down your plans,go ahead and just do it.
Except learning English I also have to learn computer. Because I think the ability to write well in English and computer skills are essential when it comes to keeping a good job .I know that I am going to have no salary for at least one year. Sometimes I feel a little pressure for that, but I told myself I can have a new job anytime when I am well preparing for a new start.
